Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (โ€œTermsโ€) govern the use of www.taifco.com (the โ€œSiteโ€) and related services provided by Altaif Inc., operating as Altaif Currency Exchange.

By accessing or using this Site or the ALTAIF Go App, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions at all times.

Intellectual Property

All content published and made available on our Site is the property of Altaif Inc. and the Site's creators. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • - Images
  • - Text
  • - Logos
  • - Documents
  • - Downloadable files
  • - Software
  • - Design elements

and anything that contributes to the composition of our Site.

No content may be reproduced, copied, or redistributed without prior written consent from Altaif Inc.

Accounts

When you create an account on our Site or through the ALTAIF Go App, you agree to the following:

  • - You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your account, including passwords and sensitive information associated with the account.
  • - All personal information provided must be accurate, complete, and up to date. You agree to update your information if it changes.
  • - Altaif Inc. reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts if they are used illegally or in violation of these Terms.

Sale of Services

These Terms govern the services offered through our Site or mobile applications.

Services may include but are not limited to:

  • - Foreign Currency Exchange
  • - Foreign Currency Sales
  • - Fund Remittance (Money Transfer Services) Other financial services provided by Altaif Currency Exchange
  • - All services must be paid in full once the transaction procedures are completed.

All information, descriptions, and images displayed on the Site are provided as accurately as possible; however, Altaif Inc. does not guarantee that all descriptions or information are completely error-free.

Altaif Inc. reserves the right to:

  • - Modify
  • - Reject
  • - Cancel
  • - Delay

in any order if necessary.

If payment has already been processed and the order is cancelled, a refund equal to the amount paid will be issued.

Payments

We accept the following payment methods:

  • - Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT)
  • - Other electronic payment methods where available.

By providing payment information, you authorize Altaif Inc. to charge the applicable amount to the payment method you provide.

If we believe a payment violates applicable law or these Terms, we reserve the right to cancel or reverse the transaction.

Conducting Transactions

Transactions conducted through the Site or the ALTAIF Go App may include:

  • - Foreign currency purchases
  • - Currency exchange
  • - Fund remittance (money transfer services)
  • - Digital financial transactions
  • - Transactions may be fulfilled through:
  • - In-store pickup
  • - Electronic transfer or remittance
  • - Delivery where available

You authorize Altaif Inc. to use the payment methods and accounts you provide to complete the transaction.

You have recourse rights if a debit does not comply with your instructions. Additional information regarding payment rights can be found at: www.cdnpay.ca

You may terminate authorization for electronic payments by providing written notice to: cs@taifco.com

Exchange Rate Policy

All foreign exchange rates displayed on the Site or through the ALTAIF Go App are indicative and subject to change without notice due to market fluctuations.

The final exchange rate applied to a transaction will be the rate confirmed and locked at the time the transaction is completed and payment is received by Altaif.

Altaif Currency Exchange shall not be responsible for losses resulting from exchange rate fluctuations occurring before payment is completed or before a transaction is finalized.

Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Compliance

Altaif Inc. operates as a regulated Money Services Business (MSB) and complies with the Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Act (PCMLTFA) and related regulations.

To comply with these laws, Altaif Currency Exchange may be required to:

  • - Verify customer identity
  • - Collect transaction information
  • - Request supporting documentation
  • - Monitor transactions for suspicious activity
  • - Report certain transactions to FINTRAC

Altaif reserves the right to refuse, delay, suspend, or cancel any transaction if:

  • - identity verification cannot be completed
  • - documentation requested is not provided
  • - the transaction appears suspicious
  • - the transaction may violate Canadian laws or regulations
  • - compliance concerns arise under AML or counter-terrorist financing obligations

In certain circumstances, Altaif may be legally prohibited from disclosing the reason for refusing or delaying a transaction.

Where permitted by law, cancelled transactions will be refunded to the original payment method.

Consumer Protection Law

Where the Consumer Protection Act (Ontario) or any other applicable consumer protection legislation applies and cannot be excluded, these Terms will not limit your legal rights.

If a conflict exists between these Terms and applicable legislation, the mandatory provisions of the legislation will prevail.

Limitation of Liability

Altaif Inc., including its directors, officers, employees, agents, and affiliates, will not be liable for any actions, claims, losses, damages, liabilities, or expenses arising from the use of the Site or services.

Indemnity

Except where prohibited by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Altaif Inc. and its affiliates from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, or expenses resulting from your use of the Site or violation of these Terms.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable under applicable law, that provision will be removed while the remaining provisions remain valid and enforceable.

Changes

Altaif Inc. may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in services, operations, or legal requirements.

Updates may be posted on the Site or communicated by email.

Applicable Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the laws of Canada applicable therein.
